NaNoEdMo... it begins... and a public statement of intention

Ok, first of all, happy March and with March greetings comes March Madness. No, not the basketball. I don't give two farts about basketball. I'm talking about NaNoEdMo. The madness of editing your NaNo novel during this month. I got my first quick edit done last month but have been dragging my heals at the serious heavy lifting. In an effort not to spend too much more time on the computer (duh!) I'm not signing up on the NaNo site. I'm just with the fellow NaNoEdMo's in a spiritual form. A pixie, if you will :). But regardless, The Spiritcaster gets polished and beta ready this month!!

Second of all - I have been threatening myself with this ever since I started a blog.

I am going to post some fiction.

There. I said it. Now I have to do it.

Not today, but either Tuesday or Wednesday, I will be posting a short story on the blog. It is a dystopian/comedic/futuristic/fantasy about... smibbles. What is a smibble, you say? Well, uh... it's like a tribble with a face. And antenna. And little googly eyes. I think a smibble is different for everyone. The talented gals in the SF&F forum on Absolute Write (the hang-out thread now entitled Kelly's Chaotic Abreuvoir of Awesome Sauce) are having a go at drawing them and sculpting them out of clay. Perhaps if you hang out on the boards, you might see avatars proclaiming SMIBBLE POWER and signatures depicting smibbles for sale. Stop on by. Hell, buy a smibble, take it home and see what happens. We don't think they bite.

  5. And good luck to you as well, DH. I think I enjoy the first draft more than the editing.... sigh....
